New Renters' Reform Coalition Director appointed

The Renters' Reform Coalition are delighted to announce that Clara Collingwood has been appointed as Interim Director and began working at the coalition this week.

Clara was previously Campaign Manager at Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK, which campaigned for the Covid 19 inquiry and many of whose recommendations have since been adopted by the government. Clara has an MsC in Philosophy and Public Policy and brings significant experience of person-centred campaigning. Her background working in coalitions on sensitive issues, campaigning in Westminster and navigating political structures, makes us excited to see what Clara can bring to the role in a pivotal year for renters in England.

Clara said:
"I am delighted to be joining this coalition of campaigners at such a seismic moment for renter's rights. With the landmark Renters' Rights Act coming into force this year, millions of tenants stand to win greater security and safety in our homes, so long as the act is properly enforced. I look forward to working to make sure this law makes a real difference in people's lives.

"We can and must build on this hard-won success to address the cost of rent, poor standards and other factors that have made it harder for renters to enjoy secure and flourishing lives for far too long."

The Renters’ Reform Coalition are seeking funders to support the next phases of our work, and Clara is keen to open conversations with any funders who share our goal to improve private renting across England - contact us here.
