Lloyds Bank Foundation becomes new joint-funding partner for the Renters’ Reform Coalition

As the campaign for stronger renters’ rights continues under a new government, the Renters’ Reform Coalition (RRC) have secured a new funding partner. The additional support of Lloyds Bank Foundation means the RRC will have a two-year funding extension for the first time, enabling us to scale up our activities.

Lloyds Bank Foundation is an independent charitable foundation which partners with small and local charities, with a focus on working towards a more just and compassionate society and ensuring people facing complex issues and barriers have support and opportunities to overcome them. The foundation will join existing RRC funder the Nationwide Foundation to provide a two-year funding period, providing the RRC with more security and supporting us to push for strong rental reforms at a key moment for the renters’ movement.

Both funders are fully behind the Coalition’s vision for a decent, affordable and secure private rented sector, and support our demands for stronger protections for renters, a complete end to no fault evictions, action to tackle dire standards, and solutions to the ever-growing crisis of affordability in rented homes.

Tom Darling, Director of the Renters’ Reform Coalition, said:

“The Renters’ Reform Coalition staff and members are delighted that an exciting new joint funding partnership with the Lloyds Bank Foundation and the Nationwide Foundation has been confirmed. Certainty about the future of the Coalition will enable us to redouble our influencing and campaigning at a critical moment for the renters’ movement, as the new government sets out plans for a Renters’ Rights Bill”

“My team and I are grateful to both organisations for their commitment to this project and look forward to working with them in the years ahead as we campaign to ensure that all privately rented homes are secure, decent and affordable.”
