An exciting opportunity has just opened up for a talented PR professional or journalist to join the Renters’ Reform Coalition as our press officer. This is a new role, replacing our current press office function managed by an agency.

The main purpose of the role will be to engage in proactive and reactive press work aimed at influencing the public debate around the Renters (Reform) Bill during its passage through Parliament and beyond, supporting the coalition’s influencing strategy and building the profile of the coalition and our members in the media.

With the Renters’ (Reform) Bill having been published recently, we are looking for someone with strong political awareness and a track record of delivering first-rate, agenda-setting media coverage while working within a press office environment, a PR agency or as a journalist. Key information:

Location: Flexible, but occasional London travel will be required if remote

Salary: circa £35,000 DOE

Length of Contract: Fixed term until 31 July 2024, secondment applications welcome
