Too many people live in insecure, unaffordable and unsafe homes. Successive governments have failed to reform the private rented sector and give England’s 11 million private renters a decent place to call home - this needs to change.

Why have we formed now?
The Government first pledged to end ‘no fault evictions’ back in 2019. Announcing in the last Queen’s Speech, the Renters' Reform Bill, which promised to deliver this pledge and deliver a fairer rental market with greater protections for tenants and a rebalancing of power.
The Renters' Reform Coalition has formed to ensure that the reforms ahead truly deliver a more just housing system, a transformation to tenants' lives and our country as we move forward together out of the pandemic.
